My Life as Gum
I remember how they traveled me to IDEA on that horrible and terrible bus. It was dark, damp and cold. My cousin Betty was right next to me and it was hard for both of us even though we were both near and there for each other. The next day I woke up. Cousin Betty wasn’t there. Instead I was surrounded by strangers in a see through cylinder box. Can it be…? I have always dreamed of this day…Now… I just have to wait! The day passes slowly the only two gumballs that make it out of our bow are Bart and Kelly. The boxes in front were almost empty… It was 10 and the store finally closed… Luckily tomorrow is going to be a better day. During the night I heard screaming. It was Judey; he was being attacked by vicious, juice sucking, hungry ants! Luckily he was fine but he still had a few scars left. The week slowly past by and they were going to throw away all the overdue things… It was 7 o’clock, last day before we got thrown away. Morty and I were praying when it hit us, literally hit us! It was a small, filthy, sweaty hand. We were at the checkout lane and by the time we got put in to a dirty, dark, dusty place called a pocket we had time to say good bye and good luck to the rest of gum. Finally our new owner and saver took us out and put us on the table. And then I saw him. It was a boy a cute, filthy, little boy with tiny teeth and blue braces and a candy breath. He was perfect. He was all I dreamed of since I was born. His name was Danny. Danny gave Morty to his older sister Meghan and after started reaching out for me! He grabbed me by my sides and started leading me closer and closer and closer and closer to his pinkish mouth. To be honest when you look at a mouth from that close it is by far the scariest thing you have EVER seen in your entire life but it was the greatest for me. Later when I was finally covered in gooey, liquid, thickish saliva I started to crack up. Not laugh but actually CRACK UP! He was starting to chew me. His sharp yet dull, yellow, minute teeth were cracking through my hard, pink, shell into my soft, sweet, delicious, mouth watering insides. He started chewing me faster and faster I felt like in heaven. Bits of me were stuck between his petit braces. After 2 hours Danny took me out and headed toward the trash can. It was my end to life and a beginning to something new. As I slowly rot away I pray to God to bless that kid who gave a meaning to my sticky, short yet wonderful, and magical life.
